The Concert Hall
A lavishly appointed, state-of-the-art concert hall
designed specifically for acoustical music featuring adjustable
acoustics, video monitoring throughout the facility, audio and video
recording capabilities, and a catering/serving area in main lobby and in
mezzanine lobby. Acoustical engineering was provided by the nationally
renowned acoustical engineering firm of WJHW [Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon
& Williams, Inc.] of Dallas
It seemed important to me that the
form of the building respond to acoustics, rather than for the acoustics
to respond to the limitations of the building. The space you see here
today emerged directly from an enlightened understanding of the
requirements of acoustics. Raymond Burroughs, architect
